Building Permit Application (Residential & Commercial)
Woodbine City Hall is the starting point for all building permits in the City of Woodbine. You must have the following when applying for a building permit.
1. A Lot Inspection Report with drawing of layout, it must be stamped.
2. A stamped set of plans.
3. A Building Permit Form filled out, pages 1 and 2 only. Page 3 is for the City to fill out. Make sure you have license numbers for all of the
sub contractors and copies of their Georgia license(s).
4. Take all of the paper work to Woodbine City Hall.
5. After Page 3 of the Building Permit is filled out and signed by City Hall, take permit and plans to the City of Kingsland Building and
Planning Department (located on Hwy. 17 next to Kingsland City Hall).
Once the building permit is approved; you will be called and given the cost of the permit. The permit is not valid until all fees are paid. You will come to Woodbine City Hall to pay for the permit, at which time you will be given a copy of the permit and a Building Inspection form to be posted at the building site.
All inspections are done by the Kingsland Building and Planning Department, 729-8228. It is up to the builder to call for all inspection, any re-inspections will cost an additional $25.00 each. The Certificate of Occupancy will be issued by the Kingsland Building and Planning Department.
Any building project that is started without first obtaining a building permit will have all applicable fees DOUBLED.

WATER/SEWER PERMITS
The cost of a water and sewer tap installation is as follows:
Water Tap $1,100.00
Sewer Tap $700.00
Septic Tank Inspection $50.00
(This is done after septic is emptied and before it is filled in.)

WATER/SEWER DEPOSIT
Water $60.00 (Residential)
Sewer $60.00 (Residential)

Payable at time of application.
Garbage fees for trash cans are included in the monthly water/sewer bill at $15.00 per month.
